Wasted vacation.
Spring vacation went by and I didn’t really make anything. I started a cool track that had an Autechre feel but I don’t know if I’ll follow through with it. Now that classes are starting back up I should be in a more productive mood :D sooon!

Great Progess!
I’ve made pretty sweet progress regarding my understanding of mastering and compressors through-out the past couple of days. It’s pretty sweet, I almost feel like I know what I’m doing. On the flip side, I was referencing my tracks with this one

Heres a new track that I had been working on.
Burning Homes by monowolfe All of my old stuff got deleted, so I had to start fresh. It was actually pretty nice. This track has heavy Kettel influences because he’s what I’ve been listening to nonstop for awhile now.

I've been...
Not using my keyboard to make melodies. After being called a “nub” by someone for using my keyboard, I have actually come to realize it’s pretty helpful for making original sounding melodies. The reason? There is no such thing as muscle memory when you’re plugging in midi notes, you’re judging it purely by what sounds good. coolbeans, amirite?

Finally...
Finally finished a new track. It’s not really new, I’ve been cracking away it for awhile, but I finished it to the point where I’m happy with it guess. Got to try my new synths with this track too, very fun indeed. I also tried some different production techniques on this that I’ll probably use again in the future. Enjoy!
Something I've noticed.
Real quick, I think I like blogs that post at most ~1 thing a day. Unless it’s a news site or something similar like a full on gaming blog with news style content, the less frequent the posts the better. My tumblr dashboard is usually clogged with five posts every 2 seconds by the same couple people everyday and I end up unfollowing them. Maybe that’s just me. More later.

So Tired.

Today was the first day (in Japan) I’ve ever actually felt nauseous and stayed home from class. I knew for a fact if I had gone on the train, I would have barfed.
I think it was a mixture of all the Conbini food I’ve been eating, plus I’ve been staying up late every night to help my Girlfriend with her assignments.

I’m still alive, I promise.
I’ve been working on tracks, 2 in particular, and maybe a 3rd one after tonight. My EP was downloaded roughly 220 times, which is pretty cool for a first time ever release, that I didn’t really promote for. Hopefully word of mouth does some work ;).
I’ve admittedly been playing a lot of Minecraft, I won’t deny it....

Workin’ on tracks since classes have been winding down finally. I got some nice things cooking I think. I also have a decent piano VST now which is nice because I can play around for hours on it and come up with ideas.
