1. Yayyyyy.

Finals are nearing the end, so close!

  2. Anonymous asked: I really enjoy your take on the IDM sound. I hope that you get published on vinyl. Awesome stuff and incredibly well informed. Keep it up!

    Thanks!

I’ve been learning some new things lately, new things on the horizon hopefully!

  3. Here’s a track I’m pretty proud of…

Hope you enjoy it. It might be one that I put on the demo that I’m going to eventually maybe get around to putting together and sending out.

  4. Here’s a track.

Also: Someone asked if I was going to be on Rephlex. No, while that is incredibly flattering I was not going to be on Rephlex lol. The label I was speaking with kind of fell through so it’s just me again.

EDIT: Actually I read it wrong it said WHEN are you going to be on Rephlex… just as flattering <3

However I will be sending demos out soon, so you never know.

    Thanks for listening! :)

  5. Hey

    daaaaamn son.

  7. Hello,

    Been awhile, here’s a novel:

So for awhile I wasn’t working on music stuffs. A long while; like a couple months. I didn’t even dabble, I just simply did nothing. Ironically, around this time someone from a pretty reputable record label contacted me and asked if I would feel like putting a digital EP out with them. It’s still in the works and we will see what happens :)

I am definitely putting out another EP though.

Why have I been focusing on EP’s only and not a real album I hear you say? Well, avid readers, it’s quite simple. The quality of my music is not yet at the point that I would feel comfortable making an album. For me, an album should be consistent and constructed from the ground up on a sturdy foundation, something I feel my tracks (the majority of them at least) are lacking still.

This isn’t to say I can’t tell that I’ve been improving, I just feel like I’ve got a liiiittle bit more to go until I’d feel comfortable putting out an album :)

In regards to the second EP: The quality of the music is better (to my ears at least) than my first one because I’ve learned new things and feel like I have acquired a better “ear”.

There will probably be around 5-6 tracks on it, and maybe a few bonus tracks like I did on the last one. Of those 5-6, 2 of them are tracks that have already been released on my soundcloud. The bonus tracks might be completely new ones or a mix of remixed old tracks and new tracks.

I know this is much more detailed than anyone would really care for, but it’s helping me organize my thoughts so LEAVE ME ALONE OKAY?!

I think that is probably all for now, I’ll try to update this more frequently… famous last words :C

  8. Spring vacation went by and I didn’t really make anything. I started a cool track that had an Autechre feel but I don’t know if I’ll follow through with it. Now that classes are starting back up I should be in a more productive mood :D

    sooon!

  9. Anonymous asked: Hi there Monowolfe. I've had One for quite some time now. I must congratulate you on that album. It is incredibly soothing and enjoyable. A Forest of Chairs is probably my favorite on that album. It's a fusion of cool, slow, soothing sounds with a high energy drum beat. Opposites, yet they are attractive. I like it. Encouragement to continue! Also, do you have any specific influences, such as other artists?

I glad you enjoy One, it’s weird to think it’s already almost been a year since I put that out. Thanks for the kind words. :)

I have many influences, a few of which you can usually hear direct stylistic touches on my music that I stole took inspiration from.

Here’s a rudimentary list of a few of my favorites: Kettel, Wisp, Flashbulb, All of Richard D Jame’s stuff, Monolith, DMX Krew, Squarepusher, Thrice, Ceephax.

    Thanks again for the lovin’z

  10. Here’s a fresh new phat beat, it’s been awhile.
